Rob Foster was born and raised in Tadworth, Surrey.
From an early age, Rob was to be found in his Grandma's kitchen, learning the secrets of traditional recipes, conjuring new ideas and experimenting with different ingredients. It was clear from the outset that he was destined to have a career in food and a title of ‘Chef’.
His passion continued throughout his teenage years, and following formal training at prestigious Westminster College, Rob worked in an array of kitchens at home - including legendary Suffolk foodie mecca Hintlesham Hall and London's celebrated Boulestin - and across Europe, perfecting his craft and expanding his knowledge.
In his early twenties his dream became a reality when he opened his first restaurant, Gemini, which was to become the culinary heart of Tadworth and a wide area beyond. Drawing customers from across the county and garnering praise for an ever-evolving menu that reflected the influences of British, Spanish, French and Italian cuisines, the restaurant went on to receive multiple awards, and is much-missed to this day.
After over 10 successful years at the restaurant Rob decided it was time for a change of scenery, and set up his own private catering company Simply Robert Foster Catering, providing memorable feasts for any occasion, and took on the role as Head Chef at Walton Heath Golf Club, where his dishes continue to delight members, guests and visitors to one of the world's most famous sporting locations.
Today Rob's love and passion for food is stronger than ever, and he is delighted to launch frozen ready meals. Packed with flavour and the finest locally sourced ingredients, Simply Robert Foster frozen dishes are the perfect accompaniment to evenings-in everywhere. We hope you like them!
